Why Sarah Fryer Writes?

Writing is something that has been engrained in me since childhood. I still have short stories I wrote in elementary school, stored in one of those paper folders we had to buy with our school supplies each year. Somehow along the way, I pushed down my writing dreams as impractical, and a void was left where this gift and my desire to use it had been.

I felt a spark reignite this desire through my blog writing at rawgingerblog.com years ago. Then, in a complete God-ordained opportunity, I began teaching high school English and was reminded of how much written words mean to me. Through this vocation, I began taking courses to teach college English courses, the love of writing overflowed, and I knew God still wanted me to use this gift to honor him. In the Summer of 2026, I created a 40,000-word rough draft of a Christian nonfiction book. I knew as soon as I finished that rough draft that I absolutely wanted to pursue publishing it and, God-willing, many more books in the future.

This website and my Sarah Fryer Writes social media accounts exist to document the journey of book concept through publishing, as well as to provide some samples of my writing through lifestyle blogging. There will also be encouraging words and some humorous moments because those flow out of who I want to be.

A little about me personally…

I am a mom of two amazing daughters. I enjoy spending extra time in the summer with them because I am a high school English teacher who also teaches college-level courses to high school students. I am married to a wonderful man named Andy Fryer – if you have any knowledge of bass fishing, you may know him as the 2023 TBF National Tournament Champion. We live in Ohio because we grew up here, and while we love the people, we tend to leave a piece of our hearts in the south each time we visit. As an extroverted author, I enjoy spending time with friends and family when I’m not writing, teaching, or reading.
